Sorry for any oddities and issues with the site. I had a bumper crop of major updates to install and although I did my best to slip these in seemlessly, there are one or two niggles. In particular, Buddypress, which gives the site many of its social networking features had a complete rewrite. I did check all the prerequisites and tried it out on our testing site first, but obviously 1) I didn’t test well enough and 2) it turns out we need a patch that the Buddypress people said we didn’t. I see we’ve lost our list of logged in users as well. I’ll try to get that back in the next day or so. At the same time we’re being hammered by one or more pleasant souls trying to hack in (why?). There have been hundreds of attempts in the last few weeks and although I’m reasonably happy we’re secure (we have a 3 failed attempts locks your user ID system, so “brute force” attempts aren’t really practical) you may have the irritation of being presented with a Captcha screen when you log in yourselves. At the same time, if anybody thinks their password may be weak, for instance a plain word in the dictionary, this might be a good time to pick something more complex.

OK, quicker than I thought. We should have users online and a member list back in place.
Thank you, Ath.
