Next step, get a publishing deal without even having to pitch to them!

Thanks Raine,
I’m realising I am forming a habit of having “successes” with books I haven’t actually written yet! I mean, no pressure… -

Thank you @jillybean both for the cheering and the tag explanation! And @madiguana that’s helpful too 😊
@raine Sorry to miss you this time – enjoy the wedding! I’m missing one to be here this weekend 😳 (Very understanding friends though!) -

Spare a thought for a poor wand’ring pen

All at once he espied

Am editing. I feel like I’m juggling a dozen balls. Half of them on fire, and the other half actually hamsters.
-
That sounds like quite a display Raine. I’d watch that!! But you’ll soon find that some of the hamsters are actually vicious…something or other you don’t like (though, knowing you, I’ve no idea what that could be) and the fireballs are actually… well, fireballs you can throw away.
I didn’t think this attempt at encouragement through, did I?-
Laughed at loud at this. The perfect description of editing 😂😂
-
Oh yes. Cut and paste and miss a bit, then swear, because mind goes blank and that perfect, only possible word goes swanning into the ether because some daft sod in the next room had the temerity to ask if I wanted coffee.
-
Yes!!
-
Firstly I would pay to watch that, Raine.
Secondly, it really is the most perfect description of editing. -
Oh god, the inconsiderate offers of tea! They are the worst! 😀

Be careful the hamsters don’t get set on fire

Incendiary rodents

And that’s your next book, right there

This is awesome, P. You are on a roll! Agent last year, double comp hits this year! Must be such a boost for book two as well. Will keep fingers crossed and hope someone *cough* will keep us updated second-by-second as the results come in!!

Oh Sky, I am so happy for you. I saw this thread on Twitter, and it made me smile so much. I will miss your speech at York, but know I’ll be cheering remotely (actually, ironically, from a wedding the other end of York!). Big, big hugs from me.
