Just a quick note to all Denizens: if you’ve missed the “Room with a View” challenge, take a quick trip to the group “A Room with a View” and read up on this short story extravaganza. You have until 22:00 tomorrow (Sunday 30th September) to join the group and make choices as explained in the Welcome Topic. It’s great fun and lasts until FEBRUARY NEXT YEAR for goodness sake. Entries from previous years have gone on to win national competitions, been published in anthologies, and formed the basis of larger works.

One more thing: those already in the group will know that there’s a bit of fun and uncertainty around the choices, the latest twist being whether an element of “meanness” will be applied when the full theme and implications of the choices are revealed. This is being decided now by member-votes. This vote will also end when group entry closes tomorrow. It’s VERY close at the moment and in the event of a tie, the outcome will be “generous” by default. For those of you keeping count, don’t forget John S Alty’s vote over on the Room with a View blog and my personal vote, which are both “mean”.
