Incidentally, regarding CHAT: if you’re a group admin, you may like to consider enabling chat for your group. This adds a new chat link to the main menu for your group which leads to a chat window for your group members.

Have made the group hidden. Will look into it further as I suspect this will not fix the issue. There is deginitely a problem but only with this specific group so far. Will see what I can do.

Security is as good as we can currently make it. And house is definitely being kept! 🙂 Occasionally – as recently – we have an odd spate of slightly cleverer bots joining the site because they manage to foil part of the software. We are now trialling a plugin that should deal with the issue. The vast majority of bots did get stopped by the system software and those few that managed to register were blocked, usually within the hour, manually. Hopefully the plugin will prevent any further spambots getting through!

Some minor site maintenance has been going on today. It shouldn’t have caused any disruptions, however there is now an automatic redirect to using the site with the SSL certificate. You may find that the Den logs you off and asks you to log back in using https:// After that it should automatically redirect.

For anyone who has had the same issue as Richard, you can amend the name by which you are known (and who can see what part of your profile) by amending your profile page. Wasn’t aware it was being counted (and am still not convinced my clicking ‘like’ isn’t a lazy response, though at times it does feel most appropriate,
Every so often when I have a look to make sure everything’s still working, I spot the “like” statistics. It comes from the people who make the app and I suppose they want to show that it has lots of features. All just for fun though.
