Apologies for the over-long gaps between my visits to Den. So much is still going on for me, including regular follow-up hospital visits following my multiple, bi-lateral arm breaks, one arm sadly looking towards being permanently handicapped. It happens to be my dominant arm, so many problems have arisen, including housework, personal care, the ability to drive and (writing-wise) limited writing capability and book-holding including e-readers. Nevertheless, I’ve battled through with my new manuscript, finally finishing it this week (lots later than envisaged – but beta-read ready!).

On a real downside, I have to report that I have been ‘released’ by my literary agent, so the big hurry to finish book 2 became a little redundant. She has moved to another agency and is not taking me along. After failing to sell my ‘Saving Grace’ book, mainly Covid-ralated (publishers are dropping many books/genres), the Agency aren’t keeping me on either. After the gushings about its potential, I can’t deny I’m disappointed, but I confess I did feel it coming along. My next decision, after working on both books, is what’s next. I am way away from making that decision as yet.

So, that is my catch up over with, now onto catching up with yours, on the various pages and groups. It may take a while, but hopefully I’ll become a little better at keeping in touch.

    • Oh dear, Janette, that sucks on so many levels. All I can do is send you a virtual hug, so consider it sent.
At least you’ve been getting follow-up care. MrsB fell and broke her left humerus while we were on holiday about fifteen months ago. There were a couple of visits to local hospitals while we were still there, but since coming home she’s been offered no care at all. The arm is still not quite right, but at least, unlike you, she can do most things. Still feels she’s been neglected though.

      • Oh, Richard, that’s not good. If she’s still not right, they should be looking after her. I have to say I cannot fault my treatment, and they sent me for a bone density test, which showed up Osteopenia, which they are addressing. Is a consultation with your doctor worth a go?
Thanks for the hug – sending one right back.
