…PS am certainly intrigued by the story’s ending now anyway

Ref Tony’s previous comment, if a call can’t connect to a mobile it doesn’t always go to voicemail. Plenty of times I’ve called a number and instead of an answer or voicemail, heard something to the effect of ‘the number cannot be reached’ (can’t remember exact wording).

In any case, I think if the caller was worried and desperate to get hold o…[Read more]

I remember reading after a train crash disaster, of the non-stop ringing of victims’ mobiles. Could you hot say “Somewhere there was a phone that seemed to keep on ringing and ringing.” ?

Very good question. You could have a play with the settings on your own phone to see if you can stop it going to voicemail, or set it for a greater number of rings before it does? Mantra.

I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul.

…

I woke at four this morning agitated.

In my horrid dream, I pictured the last of my treasured artifacts’ being scrapped into the trash.

Lost forever.

In the lounge and still in a q…[Read more]

Just about to lose my data connection before surrendering to the joys of wifi at sea. No inspiration here yet. The pain chocolat is good though.

Like Richard, waiting for inspiration – and I’ve next week away from home in which to receive it (several ideas bubbling)

Absolutely stunning story – one of my favourites. Congratulations! Really well deserved.

Congratulations, Squidge. That was a great story 😊
