Let me be the first to give you a huge thank you for all the hard work you’ve obviously put in.
The new navigation is a huge improvement over the old impenetrable one. I think you’ve addressed all the concerns I raised. I particularly like the little explanation boxes that pop up when you hover over a heading. Finding your way around the site should be child’s play compared to what it has been.
I agree that having all the replies present and correct on the wall is far more important that what it looks like, and I don’t mind the change anyway. The only problem I have is that I can’t see any reply buttons, or indeed any means of posting a reply should I wish to. Or is it just me being thick?
I’ve never had any problems with logging in, so I can’t comment on that aspect.
All in all, a great improvement. I only hope your work hasn’t been wasted. In the last few weeks the Den has been overtaken by such tumultuous apathy that I’ve been wondering if it’s on its last legs. The fact that I’m the first to reply to such an important, nay vital, topic, over 24 hours since you posted, doesn’t exactly raise my hopes.

I too spent some time checking out the new improved site and, without any IT knowledge as to what and how achieved, found it easy and intuitive. (My commenting on it was delayed by my rediscovery of a blog about the narrative arc which, having read Seagreen’s 7 ‘C’s I spent much of the rest of the day trying to apply to my current wip, before making Christmas puddings.) But ‘Thank you’ Ath, a good job done, which I hope is rewarded with more activity.
One suggestion I made – could the default for the RH Members column display ‘Active’ rather than newest?. Makes things look a little livelier.
