Oh, bless you! All I can say is that from experience in school (we were lucky – yes, we had nits at times, but managed to get on top of them pretty quickly by just wet-combing with a nit comb) if they keep coming back, there’s a source somewhere that you’re coming into regular contact with. In our case, a girl in the class who…shall we say that mum wasn’t particularly attentive and refused to take action, even though we could see the blasted lice crawling through her hair. *shudders*
And the source may not be hair, either. I remember being told years ago (when we still had nit nurses) that a school had a really bad problem, and lots of kids were constantly affected. In the end they checked the teachers’ hair – nothing.
They found the little beasts in a male teacher’s beard…
