This is a very interesting thread. Of no direct interest to me, I’m not looking for an agent, but it’s heartwarming to see Den dwellers giving their knowledge so freely. Very generous. Give yourselves a pat on the back.

Yes, I’d read more. The first section is intriguing and I’d want to find out how this fits into the overall story. Good writing, confident. Might be a bit overwritten in places – could be simplified on edit, perhaps.

I’ve been tempted to read Earthsea a few times, but was put off when I read Le Guin uses a quite distant narrative style.
This blog has piqued my interest though, and I think I might go find out for myself, because The Dispossessed sounds fascinating.

@juliec – DHH is David Headley’s agency. David is also a bookseller, owning Goldsboro Books, which hosts some big events like Crime in the Court, and he became an agent in 2008. I finished the kitchen project, Felicity’s First was published in Across The Margin and my daughter was sworn in as a US citizen in a ceremony involving over 4,000 people.
