No, I’ve just started. It’s a promising and very varied bunch of writers. Good luck, Athelstone, you’ll enjoy it. PS I’d forgotten how hard the first exercise is!

Heading to York knowing that I’m performing in Friday Night Live and I have a sore throat. This could be the first ever FNL in sign language!
-
Bestest of best luck. 🙂
Keep us up to date, please.-
Will be sending healing vibes all the way, John. And keeping fingers and toes crossed for you x

Thank you!

Whisky and lemon and honey. Then you’ll do brilliant. Good luck.

My favourite remedy x

Good luck @johnt3! Yes, whisky for that smokey, throaty burr. That and your wurdz together will knock ’em dead 🙂 Enjoy!

Good luck. I hope the throat sorts itself out in time.

Good luck, John. Rooting for you. And hope you feel better soon x

Didn’t see this – good luck, John. I’ll be cheering you on remotely. BUt also, doing a reading in sign would be so utterly amazing and inclusive and beautiful!

One I picked up from Brian Keaney at York for intense, magical or transformational scenes (to be used sparingly). Write it as prose, rewrite it as poetry (however crappy) then rewrite it again as prose. The idea is to knock away your own familiar turns of phrase and find a different language. I’ve already tried it in the last couple of days, and…[Read more]

That’s the same reasoning that makes me walk 15 minutes to the chip shop, Daedalus.

Raine!! You’ve Toblerone? I think that is a word that should be banned from this site for setting up an atmosphere of deep envy and greed. And nasty thoughts towards those that have when I have not. .
-
All calories fall out of food once you break them up. So toblerone only has calories until you snap a piece off, then poof. All gone.
-
From this robust survey, it sounds incontrovertibly like toblerone is indeed healthy. Sandra I will save you a triangle for next time we meet up. Maybe.
