Magnificent. Nice to know you’re getting it right second time around. Must take the pressure off.

Well done!

That is brilliant, Philippa! Good luck, and have a great Festival!

Fab news, Philippa – will have everything crossed for you!

I found @denofwriters on twitter, followed, but now can’t find it any more. Umm?

Fantastic news, Philippa. Go, you!

Ah no, he was the very last to join!

Hi Richard

I did go back and look a while ago and realised there was no longer anyone there (that sounds spooky!).

I wrote a very dark thriller after the one I featured on the SE course but have gone the other way with my current MS. Good luck with returning to your rather lovely first love.

Welcome Graeme and Louise!

Good luck with the submissions. This is a great thread.

RichardB – you were in my self-edit group and I remember your fab story. Good luck with dusting it down, giving it a polish and, hopefully, getting it back out there again. I do hope you do well. Certainly, you write well.

I worry about one or two who may not be quite so internet-savvy and I tend to take Barny’s point – it would be a great shame not to…[Read more]

Hi Graeme. And hi everyone else I’ve not said hi to yet. There’s a lot of you, and I’ve only just figured out how to get into the forums while I’m in work.

Good thinking, Mad. Thanks 🙂

Oh I’ll try to tweet all my writing tweets with #DenOfWriters for the next wee while (i.e., for as long as I remember to do it).
And I’ve created the twitter account @denofwriters too, so we can tag that in if we want to. Anyone who wants to follow it, fire ahead. I might pass that on to someone else who has the time to administer it, but for now,…[Read more]

Good luck PB. You’ve done the hard part (getting yourself Out There), now comes the harder part (waiting).
On that Juliet/Jessie B cover letter, I felt very conflicted reading it, because while the letter was great and it obviously worked for her/them, there was definitely a level of familiarity and bravado (not sure if that’s the right term, but…[Read more]
