Much too late to be of any use but I thought I’d stop by and tell you I enjoyed reading it. With the suggested tweaks you have this nailed!

Great blog, Richard. While I didn’t get past the first few pages of Earthsea, I did discover a fondness for City of Illusions, and it may be that I need to explore The Dispossessed when I have some time to appreciate it.

Yes definitely fine for everyone to post lists of blogs and/or books they found useful. I guess we can see what we get and if it starts to get clunky we can amend it to create master lists.

Possibly do the same for books? There’s a few I’ve found enormously helpful or inspirational.

Actually Jules, if you’re happy with people posting links to blogs they find useful as well as their own, like I just have, I’m fine with that rather than having a sidebar with a feed which someone will have to maintain. However a list of useful writing blogs in the lifeboat would be great.

I can look at a plugin to display certain blog rss feeds on the sidebar if you like?

Failing that there’s a lot of writing blogs I’ve found useful. I was going to post a list of them in the lifeboat 🙂

I liked the list of blogs we used to have at the side. Mainly because it told me when there was a new blog from people I read. I also think the blogs are a very useful resource. Is it possible to have links to blogs somewhere as we did on the Cloud? Like Emma D’s and Squidge?

Only just got to this. Great stuff. Works by itself or could be part of something longer. I had a couple of comments and then I realised there was an updated version that had addressed them. Great voice, and I love Florence’s, ahem, sangfroid and acerbic wit.
