*blushes* Sorry, I’ve only just found this link. Yes, Mandy was indeed bloody brilliant and it felt oh-so-special to be sat listening to her. It was the proverbial cherry atop the York cake that had already proved to be one-to-be-remembered.

I would definitely be doing cartwheels if it wouldn’t land me in a neck brace. So proud of Hel for her win, Mandy for her keynote, Philippa for her shortlisting and everyone who has made such massive strides forward.

Just catching up with things, including this. Yep, the girl did well. It was an amazing piece well read and really was stand-out. There was one other – a very good comedic piece – which got close, but Helen’s had the edge and I do hope she posts it so that you can see what we mean.

Okay then. I’ll join in! Lots of you already know, and have already congratulated me (thank you!) – a story wot I rote came third in this year’s Bath Short Story Award – publication in the anthology later this year, I believe.
