What an astounding event. I can’t imagine any NY or Parisian agents heading two hours north to find new talent.
I wonder what the ambiance will be. Writers waiting in little rooms, or a more open event where they can mingle with one another?

I quite like the idea of a more generalised private critique group for shorter pieces. Groups for each WIP work with novels, but I feel might be a bit unwieldy for shorts, as you’d have to round up new critiquers every time

I now see the original situation still prevails. Log in on the Writer’s Forum page and nothing happens, then move to Activity and log-in completes. All then OK. But, if I leave the site and come back later to the Writer’s Forum page I appear to have been logged out but if I click on Activity, I see I’m actually still logged in. A WordPress glitch, I think.
